Bruce (“Uncle Bruce,” to his fans) is a 66-year-old, bagel-loving Youtuber living in British Columbia, Canada. It should come as no surprise that Bruce used to be a stockbroker.

But let’s go back a little further because Bruce’s story is definitely not your everyday Boomer’s…

After graduating high school in Ontario, Bruce achieved a degree in …drumroll… watch making. Yep, watch making. (He can still fix your watch given the right tools.)

After fixing all the clocks and watches in town Bruce decided to try his hand at a craft he’d always found fascinating: the market. Bruce became a broker in 1979, and a manager in 1984. Oh, and Bruce and Jen (who met when they were 19!) had a baby girl right around this time, too.

In the late 90s Bruce and his ladies moved off-shore for two years, where his forever love of palm trees, warm weather and cruise ships was secured. The travel-bug then took Bruce, Jen and Jen Jr all over the place for a year before settling down in California.

In 2007, Bruce and crew moved back to Canada. Officially “retiring” (in so far as Bruce can ever really manage to do that) in 2016, Bruce began his first YouTube channel, Travelling with Bruce, to chat about his favourite subject and share his fondness for cruising with other like-minded travellers.

His second channel, Stock Markets with Bruce, followed in 2020.
